Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Sydney; I am a senior in high school, and I am currently working on obtaining my Girl Scout Gold Award. Unfortunately, I am not witty and creative, nor do I have a great sense of humor (yes, I’ll admit that I find dad jokes amusing), but I will try my very hardest to not bore you to sleep. Now that we have the so-called “pleasantries” out of the way, let’s talk about the purpose of this blog!
As you most likely concluded after reading the title, I do in fact have juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Just as a heads up, my next post will summarize my story of dealing with arthritis. Anyway, I created this blog as a component of my Gold Award Project. Every week, or as time permits, I will post tips, information, or stories about living with/managing juvenile arthritis. I am not an expert, and I have no medical training, but I have coped with arthritis for many years, so that must count for something, right? Feel free to correct me, add on to any of my thoughts, and please contact me if you want to share a story about how juvenile arthritis has affected or is affecting you/someone you know. I’m sorry that this first post was just a jumble of words, I promise to add pictures, diagrams, or other graphics next time.
I’m truly excited about making this blog, and I hope you will join me on this journey!
